Guitar Lessons
At Keys to Creativity we seek to provide the best guitar lessons in the area. Our teachers come from contemporary music backgrounds, performing and recording in the local music scene, and have studied extensively at the university level. As a result we are able to deliver consistently comprehensive, fun and informative lessons. We teach rock, blues, jazz, metal and classical depending on student preference. Areas covered are:
-Chords (ranging from basic chords to advanced jazz voicings)
-Scales (basic major and pentatonic through advanced modes and symmetrical scales)
-Strumming
-Music notation (classical and jazz styles)
-Ear training (learning to recognize different things just by hearing them, without having to refer to your guitar)
-Finger-picking
-More Advanced lead guitar techniques such as tapping, artificial harmonics, manipulating effects to create different sounds.
-Songs are selected based on a combination of student preference and learning objectives.
-Music Theory: you’ll learn why an A minor is an A minor, why different scales work over different chords, and why different chords sound good together.
Drum Lessons
At Keys to Creativity if your passion is to drum, then you have arrived at the right place! The instructors have extensive training in various styles of drum and percussion techniques: rock, jazz, latin, funk, fusion and concert percussion training. Background of education is at the college level and experience is from many years of professional work. Please join us as we embark on a fun learning adventure!

Bass Lessons
We currently offer beginner to intermediate bass guitar lessons. Our teachers emphasize the importance of “grooving” and being able to play with a drummer. Styles such as rock, pop and metal are explored.
